Instructions | How to install Replacement Canopy on a Supported Bar Offset Cantilever Umbrella
Instructions
Notice:
-
All cantilever umbrella models differ slightly. Please refer to your umbrella’s original manual first for model-specific instructions.
-
These instructions cover the canopy replacement only. The cantilever frame does not need to be removed or laid down.
-
A ladder may be required if your height does not allow you to comfortably reach the top components.
Step 1. Remove the Old Canopy Cover (If necessary)
-
Use a screwdriver to unscrew the canopy cover from the support arm.
-
If your model has a finial at the top, unscrew and remove it as well.
-
Remove the canopy from all the rib ends.
-
Carefully slide the canopy fabric off the frame, much like removing a T-shirt.
Step 2. Position the New Canopy
-
Locate the top center hole on the new canopy cover.
-
Align this hole with the opening at the top of your umbrella pole.
Step 3. Secure at the Support Arm
-
Open the Velcro flap on the canopy.
-
Wrap it securely around the support arm.
-
Optional: attach the decorative vent cover if your model includes one.
Step 4. Insert the Ribs into Pockets
-
Slide each umbrella rib into the matching fabric pocket on the canopy.
-
Make sure all ribs are evenly inserted for proper fit.
Step 5. Fasten with Screw
-
Reinsert the screw through the end of the Velcro strap and into the support bar hole.
-
Tighten until secure.
Step 6. Add Extra Security
-
Use the built-in fabric ties to fasten the canopy around the ribs.
-
This helps keep the canopy stable during windy conditions.
Step 7. Final Check
- Open the umbrella fully and confirm the canopy is stretched evenly.
-
Make sure all screws, Velcro, and ties are secure before use.
