Count the ribs

Look under your canopy. Count the metal arms (ribs) that spread out from the center.

Measure one rib

Just one. Every rib on your umbrella is the same length.

    Pick any one rib.
  2. b
    Hold the end of the tape at the center hub, the middle of the canopy where the ribs meet.
  3. c
    Run the tape straight along the rib to the rib end.
  4. d
    Read the number in inches.
